Lent doesn’t have to be about trying harder. It can be about becoming, one gentle pause at a time.
The 1:11 Lent Challenge is a 47-day journey where we come together daily at 1:11 to pause, reflect, and allow God to reshape our habits through the Fruit of the Spirit.
Traditionally, Lent counts 40 days and does not include Sundays.
But because the 1:11 Journey follows the Color of the Day and Fruit of the Spirit rhythm without interruption, we chose not to skip Sundays.
Spiritual formation doesn’t pause once a week. Neither does habit formation.
So we’re walking all the way through Easter Sunday, staying aligned, steady, and rooted in the daily fruit rhythm.
Wear the color. Walk the Word. Every day matters.
Rather than focusing only on what to give up, this challenge invites you to release meaningless habits and make room for Christlike living.
This is a community journey, simple, grace-filled, and deeply formative.

Giving Up Meaningless Habits This Lent
The 1:11 Lent Journey is a 47-day invitation to pause, reflect, and grow in the Fruit of the Spirit during the Lent season.
Each day at 1:11, you’ll be invited to slow down and gently release meaningless habits, habits that quietly pull you away from the life God is forming in you. Through a simple daily pause, Scripture reflection, and intentional habit awareness, this journey helps move your faith from intention into everyday practice.
This is not about perfection or performance.
It’s about presence, formation, and becoming, one moment at a time.
When you sign up, you’ll receive encouragement to support your daily 1:11 pause, guidance rooted in Galatians 5, and a FREE 1:11 Lent Habit Tracker to help you stay grounded and engaged throughout the 47 days.
Whether you’re new to Lent or looking for a more meaningful rhythm this season, the 1:11 Lent Journey offers a gentle, grace-filled way to walk with God.
-
Pause at 1:11.

#CrumpleTheHabit
The BTH 1:11 Lent Plan is a 47-day journey of embodied spiritual formation. Each day at 1:11, we pause to release one small habit that does not reflect the Fruit of the Spirit, and we physically let it go.
This is not about perfection.
It’s about awareness, surrender, and transformation.
Lent has always been about repentance and renewal.
Instead of simply “giving something up,” we are choosing to actively release habits that hinder growth and replace them with the character of Christ.
HOW IT WORKS (Daily at 1:11)
1️⃣ Pause at 1:11
2️⃣ Read the Fruit of the Spirit focus for the day
3️⃣ Identify one habit to release
4️⃣ Write it down
5️⃣ Say it out loud:“Today I release ______.”
6️⃣ Crumple the paper
7️⃣ Throw it away (or place it in a release jar)
8️⃣ Wear the color of the day
9️⃣ Walk intentionally in that Fruit
Short. Physical. Visual. Repeatable.

📸 THE 1:11 RELEASE PHOTO CHALLENGE
After you crumple the habit, take a photo or short video.
You can capture:
• The crumpled paper in your hand
• The toss into the trash
• Your release jar
• A flat lay with your bracelet + paper
• You wearing the color of the day
Then:
✔ Share on Instagram (Reels, Stories, or Feed)
✔ Tag @branchtohope111
✔ Use hashtag #CrumpleTheHabit #BTHColorOfTheDay
Your visible surrender may encourage someone else to begin.
This is participation, not performance.
